The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released rules and regulations for online remote proctored NIFT 2022 entrance exam. As per the regulations, in order to take the exam, candidates will need to have a desktop/ laptop and an android mobile phone for additional monitoring from the rear. NIFT 2022 entrance exam will be conducted on February 6, 2022.
The exam can only be taken using Google Chrome Browser on Windows PC/laptop with a working camera and microphone. Candidates are required to login 60 minutes before the entrance exam start time to ensure smooth verification. Once the candidate logs in, he/she needs to select the paper and complete the camera verification on the laptop/PC. Candidates need to enter roll number and password sent on mail or mentioned on the admit card for logging in to the entrance exam system.
The candidate needs to ensure that the place where the exam is being taken has proper lighting and no one should enter the place while the exam is being conducted. The institute also mentioned that if any candidate indulges in any unfair practice, the AI-enabled system or online invigilator will intervene and cancel the exam immediately. As per the notification, candidates will not be allowed to take toilet breaks during the exam. They can keep water with them if they want.
For admission to BDes and MDes courses, candidates must appear in CAT and GAT written tests. On the basis of their scores in the CAT and GAT scores, candidates are shortlisted for a Situation Test (B.Des) and GD/PI (M.Des). However, BFTech, MFTech, and MFM aspirants need to only appear in the GAT test. The admit cards for the NIFT 2022 will be available for download from January 29, 2022.
