Nearly five lakh tablets will be distributed to the students studying in Classes 10 to 12 in the upcoming academic session.
Tablets for BSEH 10th, 12th students: Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal on March 7 announced that Class 10, 12 students would soon be presented with free tablets across the state. The state government has taken the decision to purchase nearly five lakh tablets, which will be distributed to the students studying in Classes 10 to 12 in the upcoming academic session.
INR 620 Cr Budget for Tablets
While replying during the ongoing budget session of the Haryana Assembly, the minister informed, a budget of INR 620 crore has been kept by the Haryana Government that will be spent to buy these tablets. In order to facilitate students with quality education, the minister informed that the government has decided to preload the tablets content along with personalized and adaptive learning software and free internet data will be provided to the students by May this year.
Aims to Bridge Digital Divide
The initiative is being taken with an aim to bridge the gap in the digital education of most of the children studying in government schools. The scheme would assist students coming from economically weaker and deprived sections and who are not able to buy devices such as smartphones and tablets.
The Education Minister said digital material, e-books, various types of test videos and study material related to the class-wise syllabus in government schools will be available on the tablets which will be given to these students.
BSEH 9th, 11th datesheet released
Meanwhile, the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has announced the HBSE Class 9 and Class 11 board exam date sheets 2022. According to the official schedule, the BSEH Haryana board exams for Class 9, 11 will begin on March 17. Students preparing to appear for the board exams may check and download the Haryana Board 9th and 11th time tables through the official website, i.e. bseh.org.in.
