Health Ministry must ensure proper teaching in medical colleges, says FAIMA National President

Dr Rohan Krishnan, the National President of FAIMA, has urged the Union Ministry of Health to ensure proper teaching in medical colleges based on the curriculum for both MBBS as well as PG preparations. He has also raised the question of heavy fees charged by PG coaching centres.

His tweet reads, "The @MoHFW_INDIA should ensure that there is proper teaching in medical colleges based on curriculum for both MBBS as well as PG preparations. I see that PG Coaching institute have become a nexus of hundreds of crores rupees. Students have no choice but to pay to crack exams."

The coaching centres charge huge amounts of fees from students for preparing them for the top medical and engineering entrance examinations and nowadays the trend is such that it is kind of becoming mandatory to join coaching centres if the students are preparing for the entrance examinations. However, the government has taken many steps to support students in their preparation that too without taking any charges from them. One such initiative which can help students in the preparation for NEET or JEE main is the video lectures uploaded by the experts.

The NEET-UG and JEE Main aspirants can now learn from the free video lectures uploaded on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) nta.ac.in. NTA has uploaded these free video lectures on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for helping NEET-UG candidates prepare for the entrance examination.

The videos published on the NTA website is available free of cost for the aspirants. Interested candidates can download the videos and study materials from the website. These videos are prepared by the IIT professors. The lectures have been curated by subject matter experts on key topics and concepts that are covered in NEET.

To download the NEET free videos, one needs to log onto the official website nta.ac.in, and click on the student's tab in the top menu. The candidates then need to scroll down to the test practice section to find 'CONTENT BASED LECTURES BY [IIT PAL]'. The candidates will be redirected to a new page that contains the videos. One can click on the desired video to listen to the lectures and also download it.
