Central University of Tamil Nadu, Dexian Join Hands for Upskilling and Reskilling Students
Central University of Tamil Nadu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dexian for development, mentorship and offering real-world project exposure to 18 students.
Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) has signed an MoU with Dexian, a global leader in staffing, IT, and workforce solutions, to offer tech-savvy education for students keeping up with the industrial demands. The partnership has established an “Excellence Center” at CUTN for the upskilling and reskilling of students. Dexian will train students including the curriculum creation, guidance, and real-world assignment exposure. This initiative will reduce the gap between academia and industry, assuring graduates are well-prepared for the future.
CUTN and Dexian selected 18 postgraduate students through a rigorous selection process. These students have been selected from the fields of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics departments. With an 18-month training program, these students will get a combination learning of academics and economics department. Besides, Dexian will offer full time employment opportunities to these students post conclusion of the programme. However, the company does not have any contractual obligation for students to be a part of Dexian post-training.
The CUTN selected students will be supervised by Prof Natarajan Gopalan, Head of the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health and the director of Excellence Centre, who Dexian has selected for training.
Prof. M. Krishnan, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Tamil Nadu, extended his warm wishes to the students for their selection and urged students to contribute to society.
