Cotton University UG Exam 2024 Postpone Amidst Adverse Weather Conditions

Cotton University semester VI examination 2024 scheduled on May 28 has been postponed to June 5, 2024, due to unfavourable weather conditions. 

Cotton University, Assam, has rescheduled the semester VI examination to June 5, 2024. Earlier the Cotton University exam date for semester VI was scheduled on May 28, 2024. The examination authorities have decided to postpone the examination amid adverse weather conditions in the state. 

“The UG Semester VI examination 2024 scheduled to be held on May 28, 2024, has been postponed to June 5, 2024, in the interest of students due to prevailing weather conditions.” The official notification by the university reads.

Meanwhile, the Assam Government has issued a high alert for the general public as the 'Remal' cyclone is having adverse effects across the state. The state government have advised people to take precautionary measures to avoid roaming outside unnecessarily and not to approach any treacherous areas, as reported by Pratidintimes. 

“Residents in the areas mentioned below should take precautions and avoid venturing out for fishing and other agricultural activities due to the risk of falling trees from strong winds.” An advisory issued in the public interest by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). 

The Vice Chancellor of Cotton University has duly authorised the decision to postpone the examination amidst prevailing weather conditions.
