University will admit students for 614 seats from 41 subjects

Allahabad University (AU) has issued notification for PhD admission at the university and its affiliated colleges for the session 2022. The application for Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) will commenced from April 24 and the last date of application has been fixed as May 16.

The university has issued notification for a total of 45 subjects, however there are no seats in four subjects. Therefore, admission will be done for 614 seats from 41 subjects. Of these, 227 seats are in the university and 387 seats in its affiliated colleges.

The maximum number of seats is 62 in Chemistry, while there are no seats in Urdu, Persian, Agriculture Botany and Rural Technology. Allahabad University CRET 2022 is organised once a year at the National level to enrol the candidates into the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) course.

Under the CRET 2022, admission will be done at Allahabad University, CMP Degree College, Allahabad Degree College (ADC), Ishwar Sharan Degree College, Jagat Taran Girls Degree College, Sadanlal Savaldas Khanna Girls' Degree College, Arya Kanya Degree College, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Government Degree College and Ewing Christian College, Allahabad (ECC).

Allahabad University CRET 2022 Eligibility

To be eligible to appear for CRET 2022, a candidate must have passed the postgraduate exam with a minimum score of 55% or equivalent examination for all Unreserved (UR) candidates & 50% marks for all OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates.

A minimum average score in the entire academic career of 54% marks (or the Grade/Grade Point) for General/OBC candidates; or 49% marks in the case of SC / ST / PH candidates.

Teacher of the university of Constituent Colleges candidates for PhD, those who have qualified Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) conducted by UGC/CSIR are not eligible to apply for the test.
