CUET-UG: Opening more avenues for students

NTA has released the answer key of the CUET UG 2023 and the CUET results are likely to be out by July 15. Prof Parimal Vijay Mandke, Vice-President, NIIT University shares her thoughts on various avenues CUET opens for students.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the answer key of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2023), which was conducted in the month of May and June and the CUET results are likely to be out by July 15. Students are eagerly waiting for their scores to take admitted to the college and university of their choice. NIIT University is one of the 18 private universities considering the score of CUET-UG 2023 to admit students in their undergraduate courses. CUET (Common University Entrance Test) earlier known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an all-India test being organized by National Testing Agency for admission to various undergraduate, post-graduate, doctorate and various diploma and certification programmes. The entrance test aims to provide students with more options to choose the right kind of course and college or university. It is designed to assess the knowledge, skills, and aptitude of students and help them make informed decisions about their higher education.

Entrance tests like CUET follow a standardized evaluation process for all applicants. This ensures that every student is assessed on a level playing field, regardless of their educational background or the institution they come from. Standardized evaluations help universities and colleges compare students' abilities objectively and make fair admission decisions.

Here are a few ways in which CUET can provide more options to students:

NIIT University (NU), is one of the 18 private universities that recognize the CUET score. NU also offers scholarships to students basis their scores. Students can upload their CUET scorecard to apply for the stream of their interest and secure admission and avail scholarships based on eligibility.
