There are reports from Ghaziabad and other parts of the country where some students were not able to open some of their papers in the second shift of the exam, conducted in the afternoon.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) today began the sixth phase of the Common Universities Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2022 examination today, August 24. There are reports from Ghaziabad and other parts of the country where some students were not able to open some of their papers in the second shift of the exam, conducted in the afternoon.

Phase six of CUET UG will be held on August 24, 25, 26 and 30. However, some of the students who appeared for the examination in the second shift reported that their Sanskrit and Urdu papers were not opening, while some students also faced difficulty with math papers.

Sanya Singh, a CUET-UG aspirant who appeared at Babu Banarsi Das Institute of Technology (BBDIT), one of the test centres in Ghaziabad sharing her experience said that her Sankrit paper did not open, and all the students in her hall faced the same problem. Sanya Singh said: “Today I had my cancelled NTA examination and we faced a lot of issues today as well. I had five subjects today including Sanskirt paper along with others but was only able to attend four of them because Sanskrit question paper was not opening not only Sanskrit but other students faced issues with Urdu and maths.” She further said that this is the second time we had to sit throughout as the authorities were also helpless.

Another student who did not wish to be named talking about her experience said: “I came all the way from Noida to appear for the exam and a lot of students were anxious because their paper started late and later we found that Sanskrit question paper was not opening. Will I have to come again to give Sankrit the paper, this would be too problematic for me to come here again and again.

The CUET aspirants said that the invigilators advised them to send an email to NTA mentioning the problems they faced.

“This may sound small but imagine sitting 5-6 hours with pressure and anxiously sitting down if we will be able to attend the paper we prepared for,” said Singh.
