The Delhi University (DU) released its first cut-off list on October 1, 2021 for undergraduate courses. Students who have applied for Delhi University Admissions 2021 can check the DU first cut-off list by visiting the official website of DU; i.e. du.ac.in or admission.uod.ac.in. While speaking about the DU Cut-off 2021 to Shiksha, several DU principals expressed that it is expected to be much higher this year then previous years.

"The  DU cut-off 2021 is expected to go much higher than what it was last year. Be positive, you will get into one or the other college. You should decide the course don’t run behind the colleges. Don’t get panic, when you see  Delhi University's first cut-off list. Because it's going to be very high, it's not going to be a real thing. The realistic cut-off list you will be able to see after the third list only," Prof. (Dr.) Promila Kumar, Principal,  Gargi College , Delhi University, told  Shiksha.

Delhi University this year received total of 4,38,696 applications for admission to UG courses. DU Application Process 2021 began on August 2 and was closed on August 31, 2021. Once the Delhi University Cut off 2021 is released, candidates will become eligible to take admission in all colleges and programs if they are meeting the cut-off requirement of the colleges and the eligibility for the selected colleges.

DU First cut-off list on October 1: Important Points

Delhi University announced the DU 1st Cut-off 2021 announced on October 1 Candidates are advised to check the important points given below for DU Admissions 2021:

    • Delhi University Cut off list will be released on du.ac.in.
    • The cut-off can be downloaded by the candidates
    • DU cut-off list will be made available in PDF format with the names of the colleges, name of the subject and category wise cut-off marks
    • In case, a candidates marks have increased after revaluation or rechecking, they can approach the University. The Delhi University has announced in the admission bulletin that, “The colleges may consider admission of the candidates whose marks get increased in the process of rechecking/revaluation by their respective boards; subject to availability of seats and fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility criteria in desired course till last date of admission, as and when notified by the University.”.
  • In case a candidates have any grievances about their admission, then they can reach out to the Grievance Committee of the College. In case it is not resolved, then they can approach the online Central Admission Grievance Redressal Committe.
  • Candidates must note that they need to complete the admission formalities in stipulated time.
  • Candidates who are unable to make it to the first merit list should not get disheartened and should wait for the other lists
  • Any applicants claiming admission through ECA and sports categories must upload self-attested copies of the relevant certificates
