The general purpose of this collaboration is to provide research opportunity to students and researchers of the two institutions in increasing the effectiveness of teaching and research

To facilitate mutual collaboration for promoting academic excellence, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between University of Delhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Delhi.

Prof Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor of Delhi University emphasised upon maximising optimal use of the facilities, resources and benefits existing in the two universities through sharing. Prof Singh also highlighted the possibility of mobility of students between the two universities, because of their proximity, in terms of facilitating the students to study courses/papers offered in the collaborating university and their credit transfer as well as issuance of a certificate in this regard.

He also proposed to conduct joint Ph.D  programmes, where students shall be able to get the best of the two universities from co-supervision by experts of the two universities.

Prof Anu Singh Lather, Vice Chancellor, AUD expressed her gratitude to Prof Yogesh Singh for having accepted the proposal for collaboration which is to commence with the signing of the MoU. Prof Lather highlighted the unique programmes and initiatives of AUD and how this collaboration can benefit students and faculties of both the Universities. She also stated that collaborations can go beyond joint research and sharing of facilities. She was confident that this collaboration between the University of Delhi, a century old university and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi, a young and vibrant university shall immensely benefit both the universities.

The general purpose of this collaboration is to provide research opportunity to students and researchers of the two institutions in increasing the effectiveness of teaching and research; jointly organising seminars, conferences and academic workshops on topics of mutual interests; publishing books, monographs, seminar and workshop volumes, etc.; disseminating knowledge in general ; organising capacity building programmes ; exchanging faculty / staff and students; conducting joint research and publication activities; and exchanging of academic resource materials and any other projects / activities of mutual interest.
