Delhi University First Semester Syllabus under four-year undergraduate curriculum framework released
Delhi University began the second round of admission on October 26 for the academic year 2022-23. The new academic session will begin on November 3. With only a week left, the university has now notified the syllabus of the undergraduate courses that will be taught to students in the first semester.
Delhi University has released the first-semester syllabus for all its undergraduate courses for students who have been admitted newly under the four-year undergraduate curriculum framework (UGCF). Delhi University began the second round of admission on October 26 for the academic year 2022-23. The new academic session will begin on November 3. With only a week left, the university has now notified the syllabus of the undergraduate courses that will be taught to students in the first semester.
Earlier, the DU had only created and finalised the syllabus for one semester before implementing the new UGCF; the plan is to continue developing the syllabi for the remaining seven semesters, as per Indian Express reports.
Along with the syllabus for all the undergraduate courses, the Delhi University has also released the syllabi for elective courses that the students will have to study during the course of their semesters.
These include 24 value-added courses and 41 skill enhancement courses. Some of the valued-added courses are ‘Swachh Bharat’, ‘Ayurveda and Nutrition’, ‘Ethics and Values in Ancient Indian Traditions’, Vedic Mathematics’ and ‘The Art of Being Happy’. The skill enhancement courses include ‘Advanced Spreadsheet Tools’, ‘Introduction to Blockchain’, ‘Statistical Software Package’, ‘Communication in Professional Life’ and ‘Finance for Everyone’.
Meanwhile, Delhi University will end the facility to upgrade college and programme preferences for DU admission 2022 today; i.e. October 27 at 4:59 pm. All the candidates who have been assigned the seats against the DU 1st seat allotment 2022 can reorder higher preferences of colleges and programme using their login credentials.
