The 46th WorldSkills Competition, earlier postponed, will take place from October 12, 2022, to October 17, 2022.

DSEU Skill Competition 2021: Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University is all set to host the first-ever state-level Skill Competition in Delhi, said Delhi Deputy Chief Minister. The minister further added that “This competition will identify & prepare contenders for World Skill International Competition also known as Olympics of skills to be held in Shanghai 2022.” The 46th WorldSkills Competition, earlier postponed, will take place from October 12, 2022, to October 17, 2022. The competition is conducted with an idea to raise the profile and recognition of skilled people, and show how important skills are in achieving economic growth.

Established with the idea of helping students polish their skills and excel in the industry, Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) aims at inculcating students with world-class skill education. The objective is to enable access to aspirational jobs and inculcate an entrepreneurial mindset and entrepreneurship. The university offers full-time and part-time diploma courses, undergraduate degree courses, BTech programmes and two Masters programmes. During an exclusive conversation with Shiksha.com, Dr Neharika Vohra Vice-Chancellor, DSEU (Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University) spoke about the objective behind establishing a university on skill development. She talked about the option of multiple entries and multiple exits being offered by the university many more objectives as per the recommendations under the National Education Policy (NEP).

“The university has been established with the idea to provide quality education in applied sciences and skill education with the express aim of changing the entire paradigm in skilling. The idea is how do we make skilling aspirational and how do we become a partner in upskilling and reskilling in our nation,” Dr Vohra said.
