DU Admissions 2022: Delhi University has begun the DU Admissions 2022 process. This year, the Delhi University admissions will be conducted on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score 2022. Until now, DU Admissions were done on the basis of the marks obtained by an individual in the Class 12th exam. Delhi University use to release the DU Cut-off list. Though the admission will be on the basis of CUET 2022 score, the class 12 marks or the age-old pratice of considering the best of four rule is not over yet.
Until now, the best of four marks in Class 12 of each student use to be considered to calculate and create the merit list. However, from this year onwards, students only need to clear class 12 to appear for CUET. The decision to adopt CUET for DU Admissions was taken after the merit list of DU’s various colleges reached 100 per cent cut off in the past few years.
While the DU Admissions 2022 will be entirely on the basis of CUET score 2022, the best of four will still be considered only for tie-breaking process. As per the official notice, Class 12th marks will be used for breaking a tie, if any. The student with the highest percentage of aggregate marks in the best three subjects of class 12 will be considered first followed by a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the best four subjects of class 12, the top five subjects of class 12 include the higher percentage of aggregate marks and the age of the candidate. While applying for DU Admissions 2022 on CSAS platform, candidates will require to submit their marks in all the subjects in which they have cleared class 12th.
Candidates must note that they can now visit the official website; i.e. ugadmission.uod.ac.in, to apply. The last date to submit the DU application form for UG admissions is on or before October 3, 2022. DU on September 12 launched the Central Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal 2022 for undergraduate admissions to various programmes. DU will hold the admission in three phases - submission of the CSAS 2022 application form, selection of programmes and filling of preferences, and seat allocation and admission.
