DU Admissions 2022: Delhi High Court has refused to give permission to two DU Aspirants to change their courses and seats. The Delhi HC heard the matter today and rejected the claim made by the students that the CSAS System for DU Admissions 2022 is unconstitutional.

The matter was heard by a single-judge bench comprising Justice Vibhu Bakhru. The court upon hearing the plea stated that students cannot change their courses and seats after securing admissions in their first preference college. However, the court has asked DU authorities to consider their grievance as a one-off case.

Delhi HC further stated that "the petitioner's claim that the Common Seat Allocation System was unconstitutional is unsubstantial and that it does not violate Article 14 and Article 21 of the Constitution of India."

The petition was filed by the students after they felt that they had chosen a DU college as their first choice but later felt it was incorrect and wanted to change it. However, the students, who both scored well in the CUET UG 2022 Exam, stated that the authorities did not allow them to alter or change their preferences.

In response to this, Delhi University said that students cannot change their seats after they have secured their admission in the college they have listed as their first preference.
While the High Court has not permitted them to interchange their courses, DU authorities have been asked to address their grievances as a one-off case.
