DU Admissions 2022: Delhi University has begun DU Admissions 2022. DU launched the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal through which admissions to all the programmes will be done. Students can now apply for the DU UG Admissions in colleges affiliated with Delhi University by visiting the official website; i.e. du.ac.in and admission.uod.ac.in. 

During the launch of the CSAS portal, Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh announced that the Delhi University will conduct trials for candidates looking forward to taking admission under the extracurricular activities (ECA) and sports quota after October 10. For admissions under the ECA and Sports Supernumerary Quotas, 25 per cent weightage will be given to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score 2022 and 75 per cent to certificates and trials.

It must be noted that it is after two year that the university will be returning to its original practice of holding offline performance-based tests for students. Over the past two years due to Covid-19, the varsity has been admitting students under the ECA category on the basis of their performance certificates.

"For admission under ECA, and Sports Supernumerary Quotas, 25 per cent weightage will be given to the CUET score and 75 per cent to certificates and trials. For admissions to ECA and Sports Supernumerary Quota, Combined ECA Merit (CEM) and Combined Sports Merit (CSM) will be the basis for seat allocation. The maximum marks for ECA score shall be 75, comprising performance in physical trials and/or uploaded certificates, as applicable. For an ECA score of 75 marks, for all 12 categories (except NCC and NSS), 60 marks shall be awarded based on physical trials and 15 marks shall be awarded on the basis of the submitted certificates," DU's Dean of admission Haneet Gandhi said. 

"Admission through the ECA Supernumerary Quota for the academic year 2022-23 will be done in 14 ECA Categories. Candidates desirous of seeking admission on the basis of the ECA Supernumerary Quota can apply for a maximum of three ECA categories. For each ECA category in which the candidate is applying, s(he) must upload a maximum of Best Five self-attested certificates of the preceding five years, issued between the time period of  April 1, 2017 to June 30, 2022 only," the varsity said.

" For candidates desirous of seeking admission on the basis of Sports Supernumerary Quota can apply for a maximum of three Games/Sports. Candidates can upload self-attested copies of a maximum of three Merit/Participation Sports Certificates of the preceding five years issued between April 1, 2017 to June 30, 2022 only," the varsity added.
