DU BA Mass Communication eligibility criteria revised; admission through CUET

Earlier, the marks in plus 2, including the marks secured in the entrance exam were calculated for selecting candidates for the three-year BA Mass Communication programme.

 

DU BA (Hons) Eligibility Criteria 2022: The eligibility criteria for the BA (Hons) Multimedia and Mass Communication programme have been revised by the University Of Delhi. The latest notification released by the varsity informed that merit will be calculated on the basis of CUET scores obtained from the above-mentioned combination of subjects. According to the notice, “Any one language from list A + any one subject from either list B1 or list B2 + section III (General Test).”

The eligibility of the programme mentioned on page 33 of the undergraduate bulletin of information 2022-23 has changed with immediate effect. The notice mentioned, "Candidates who wish to seek admission in BA (Hons) Multimedia and Mass Communication must choose the subjects/ test papers in CUET 2022 accordingly.”

Earlier, the eligibility criteria stated by DU said, the candidates need to secure 75 per cent marks in the best four, including 85 per cent in English of the qualifying examination. The marks in plus 2, including the marks secured in the entrance exam were calculated for selecting candidates for the three-year BA Mass Communication programme.

CUET 2022 application process to close on May 22

The Common University Entrance Test, CUET 2022 application process will be closed on May 22, and a total number of 9,81,406 applications have been received. Citing the figures, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) said, “In Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions, as of May 11, total registrations are 9,81,406 and submitted applications are 7,39,027." Candidates seeking admissions for UG programmes may apply for CUET 2022 on the official website- cuet.samarth.ac.in.

DU Offline Exams 2022 begins

Meanwhile, Delhi University has commenced the semester exams via offline mode. According to the data shared by the varsity, the first day of the exam registered an "impressive" attendance of 98.3 per cent. 67,948 students appeared for the papers across courses that were conducted in two sessions.
