As per the guidelines, all those students who have opted for the physical mode will be allowed to take the exam from the convenience of their home.

DU Exams 2021: The Delhi University is all set to commence the open-book examinations (OBE) from November 30 and it has released the guidelines related to the same. As per the guidelines, all those students who have opted for the physical mode will be allowed to take the exam from the convenience of their home. However, all those students who have opted for the online mode of exams, will not be given the option to choose the physical mode of examination.

The last date to submit the examination forms is on or before November 18. As per the guidelines, colleges should upload the mobile numbers and email ID of the nodal officers on the college website so that students can reach out to them in case of any query during the exam.

Students have been given the option to either appear for the exam in the physical mode (from the college) and remote mode (from home) by using ICT-based facilities. "Those who have opted for the option of writing exam by physical mode will have the choice of writing it through remote mode but not vice-versa. The college will provide the necessary infrastructure in compliance with the MHA, UGC guidelines in view of Covid-19," the guidelines stated.

The Delhi University also directed the colleges that all the students shall be provided the facilities for taking the OBE in physical mode. It must be noted that students will have to bring their own A4 size sheets. Students will be given four hours time including one hour for scanning the answer sheet in the PDF/JPEG format and uploading it on the portal. Differently-abled students will be given six hours. In case students face any technical issues while uploading their answer sheets, "they can submit their answer sheet beyond the stipulated time limit with documentary evidence for which an additional one hour will be given."

As per the guidelines, the cases of delayed submission will be sent to the review committee and their evaluation will totally depend on the decision of the committee. The delayed submission might also cause a delay in the declaration of results for such candidates.
