DU UG Admissions: 59,401 students secure seat across Delhi University colleges, check details
Delhi University earlier released the vacant seat list on November 20, the candidates can apply as per the vacant seats from 10 am today.
Delhi University admissions 2022 are currently underway. As per the reports, until now, 59,401 students have been admitted to undergraduate courses across the Delhi University colleges. The third round of seat allocation in the Delhi University has been closed and the varsity will being the spot round admissions from today; i.e November 21, 2022. Delhi University earlier released the vacant seat list on November 20, the candidates can apply as per the vacant seats from 10 am today.
"While over 2,000 students withdrew their admission, more than 14,000 seats are vacant. These seats will be filled up through spot rounds of seat allocation. As many as 59,401 students have been admitted to Delhi University colleges," DU Dean of Admission Haneet Gandhi said, as reported by NDTV.
"Over 14,000 seats are vacant. Over 2,000 students have withdrawn their admission. We have also issued a list of vacant seats for the first spot allocation round of CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System)," Gandhi informed.
There are 70,000 seats in the university's undergraduate programmes. In the third round of the CSAS, students were also admitted to all supernumerary quotas, including Extra Curricular Activities (ECA), sports, Children/Widows of Personnel of the Armed Forces (CW) and Kashmiri migrants.
"As many as 1,001 students have been admitted through sports quota, 438 students in ECA and 1,372 in CW," he added.
"Candidates can apply for the first round of spot allocation from November 21 to November 22. The first spot allocation list will be released on November 23. The candidates can accept the allocated seats between November 24 and 26. The last date for online payment of admission fees is November 27," he added.
