Kashmir University Defers Exam Scheduled for Dec 30 Due to Heavy Snowfall
Kashmir University exam 2024 has been postponed owing to the inclement weather and the fresh dates for the postponed papers will be notified shortly.
Kashmir University has postponed all the examinations scheduled for December 30, 2024, till further date owing to the inclement weather. The authorities shared the official notification on the university website regarding the postponement of the examination. The authorities will announce the revised Kashmir University exam date 2024 on the web portal soon.
"In view of the inclement weather condition, all examinations of the University of Kashmir scheduled to be held on 30.12.2024 stand postponed. Fresh dates for the postponed papers shall be notified separately." The official notification reads.
Due to heavy snowfall in the region on Friday and Saturday, several areas of the valley were cut off. While snow has been cleared on the highway and main roads, the work is still on in some of the remote areas of the region.
The Kashmir Valley witnessed the season's immense snowfall on Saturday, impacting flight, rail, and road transportation, as well as power and water delivery. In a video conference meeting with all deputy commissioners, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inspected snow clearance efforts.
