MAHE to Conduct World Environment Day 2024 In Collaboration With Viva Toyota

MAHE will host World Environment Day on June 5 in collaboration with Viva Toyota where 1000 saplings will be planted in the Bengaluru campus premises. 

MAHE World Environment Day

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will host the ‘World Environment Day’ on June 5, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:40 AM, at their campus in Yelahanka, Govindpura. The event will be organised in collaboration with Viva Toyota. The event will aim to celebrate the environmental improvement of Bengaluru. Further, the authorities will plant 1000 saplings in and around the campus of MAHE Viva Toyota and MAHE officials.

The event will have S Ramkumar (CEO, Viva Toyota), Bhaskar Banerjee (Head-Finance, Viva Toyota), Sasi Kumar (Vice President-Sales, Viva Toyota), P Senthil Kumar (Vice President-CS, Viva Toyota) and other dignitaries as the guest of honour. 

The program will be coordinated and the MAHE Bengaluru Rewilding Task Force will lead all campus-related nature activities. Apart from HOIs from every department, the heads of HR and IT, other faculty members, and student volunteers, other dignitaries from MAHE will be present. These include Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan, Pro-Vice Chancellor, MAHE, Bengaluru; Dr. Raghavendra Prabhu P, Deputy Registrar; and Dr. Jagannath Korody, Director of MIT, MAHE Bengaluru.

Bhaskar Banerjee, Head of Finance at Viva Toyota, will talk about the significance of Environment Day and the need for its awareness. After that, the plantation will start at 10:50 AM, and staff members will start planting the seedlings. After a group photo session that begins at 11:30 AM, the day will end at 11:40 AM.
