Madhya Pradesh School Education Department will announce the ranking of districts and district-wise education report for the first quarter of the session 2022-23 on September 15. The Ranking was announced to improve the quality of education in the state by bringing in competition among districts.
This system is being implemented every quarter from this session. Under this arrangement, the work of all the district education centres and training institutions like DIETs and colleges under the State Education Center will be tightened every quarter and corrective action will be ensured on the basis of the scores.
Districts will get points on the discharge of responsibilities and quality of work, which will decide the ranking of districts. The ranking of the districts for the first quarter of the session 2022-23 will be decided on the basis of the works being carried out in the districts by the State Education Center of the School Education Department.
Numbers will be given to the districts on the basis of every work and achievement accomplished in the months of June, July and August 2022. Director State Education Center Dhanraju S informed that according to the priorities and calculation system, on the basis of performance in the first quarter of the academic session 2022-23, the ranking of all 52 districts of the state will be announced September 15, 2022, on the education portal.
Dhanraju said that this system has been implemented with a view to creating a healthy competitive spirit among the districts along with quality and execution of work within the time limit. Earlier, the annual district report card for the last session 2021-22 was issued.
Several action points have been identified in the report on a priority basis. In which the report and ranking of the districts will be prepared to keep the work done in front. These tasks are mainly divided into six parts: enrollment and placement of children, quality academic achievements, professional development of teachers, equity, infrastructure and physical facilities and good governance processes etc. In which a total of 32 indices are included. These will be changed from time to time according to the priority of each quarter.
MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had earlier directed that the educational ranking system of the districts should be developed. It would be shared between the District Project Officers of all the districts as well as the District Collectors and Divisional Commissioners.
