NIRF Rankings 2021 College: DU colleges dominates list, Miranda, Lady Shri Ram in Top ten

Miranda House of Delhi University has once again topped the list of the best colleges in India in NIRF Ranking. The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the NIRF Ranking 2021 today at a virtual event. Along with Miranda House, four other colleges of Delhi University have secured their place in the top ten best colleges in India in NIRF Ranking 2021.
Lady Shri Ram College for Women stood at Rank 2 and Loyola College, Chennai stood at Rank 3 in NIRF Ranking 2021, respectively. While most of the institutes in the list of top 10 colleges of India remain the same as last year, some of them have shown significant improvement in ranking. The number of institutes that participated in the ranking this year stood at 6,000.
This year the Hindu College and St Stephens have failed to make up to the top five colleges and have been replaced by Loyola College and Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandir, Howrah.
NIRF Rankings were launched in 2015. The ranking framework has various pre-defined parameters on the basis of which the Universities and institutions in the country are ranked. There is a total of 5 parameters are considered for the ranking of the educational institutes. These are: Teaching & Learning, Research and Professional Practice, Graduation Outcome, Outreach & Inclusivity and Perception.
