The Periyar University has declared the semester exam results for all the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses on its official website on January 6, 2020. The semester exams were held in November 2019. All the students who had appeared for the Periyar University UG-PG semester exams must visit the official website of the University to check their results through their respective roll numbers. Earlier, the result was scheduled to be declared on January 2 but was later delayed. Last year, the Periyar University November exam results were announced on January 5.

PRIDE (Periyar Institute of Distance Education) started functioning from 2001-2002 after it was established by the Periyar University. It is held annually for selecting candidates for admission to UG degree, UG certificate, PG degree, MBA, MCA, MSc (IT), PG Diploma Programme, BLIS (Bachelor of Library and Information Science), MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) and UG Diploma courses through distance mode.
