PM Modi discusses Research collaboration, academic exchange with US Academics

On his first day of the US visit, Narendra Modi interacted with a group of eminent US academics hailing from diverse fields of agriculture, marketing, engineering, health, science & technology.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his first day of the United States of America visit interacted with a group of eminent US academics hailing from diverse fields of agriculture, marketing, engineering, health, science & technology.

PM Narendra Modi reached New York as part of the first leg of his three-day State visit to the United States yesterday. During his meeting with academics, Modi discussed the possibilities of enhancing research collaborations and two-way academic exchanges under India’s New Education Policy.

Sharing the details, Arindam Bagchi, the Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs shared that academics also shared perspectives and experiences from their respective areas of expertise with PM Modi.

During his three-day US visit, Prime Minister Modi will join US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for a State dinner. Joe Biden is the third US president whom PM Modi will meet in the US, the others being Barack Obama and Donald Trump.

He will also address the joint session of the US Congress, celebrate International Yoga Day at the UN headquarters and interact with thought leaders as well the Indian diaspora.

On June 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the International Yoga Day celebrations at the United Nations headquarter lawns.
