President Murmu to grace CUSB, MGCU Convocation Ceremony as Chief Guest on Oct 19, 20

Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), Gaya, and Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU), Motihari, will hold their convocations on October 19 and 20, respectively.

President Droupadi Murmu is all set to attend the convocation ceremonies of two major universities of Bihar. Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), Gaya, and Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU), Motihari, will hold their convocations on October 19 and 20, respectively. President Murmu as chief guest will grace both events. While CUSB that turned 14 years old will be holding its third convocation on October 19 after a gap of five years, the MGCU that gets seven years old will hold its maiden convocation on October 20.

Announcing the conduct of the graduation ceremony, MGCU through its official X handle (previously known as Twitter) said, “More than seven years after its inception in Feb 2016, #MGCU will be holding its maiden convocation on October 20th. Hon’ble President of India, Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu shall be the Chief Guest.”

During the convocation ceremony, CUSB will confer all the students with degrees who have passed their examinations from the university during the last five years. “The toppers of undergraduate and postgraduate examinations of all these batches will be awarded gold medals. The last date of online registration for the receipt of degrees at the convocation is October 8,” he said. MGCUs public relations officer Shephalika Mishra said the chancellor of the university, Mahesh Chandra Sharma, will preside over the convocation.

Vice-chancellor Sanjay Srivastava will give away degrees to 1485 scholars passing out from the university since its inception. Toppers of the last four batches will be awarded with gold medals by President Murmu.
