Post-deadline, HEIs will no longer be able to upload or modify data in the ABC system, and all records will be frozen.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has directed Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to upload student credit data to the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) portal by December 31, 2024, for examination years 2021, 2022, and 2023.
This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aiming to foster flexible and multidisciplinary education through a credit-based system. The ABC serves as a digital repository for storing, transferring, and redeeming academic credits, ensuring seamless access to student records.
