University of Delhi Unveils Admission Protocol for SOL and NCWEB Undergraduate Programs
NCWEB provides opportunities for girl candidates from Delhi NCT to pursue undergraduate degrees, offering B.A. and B.Com programs across 26 constituent colleges of DU, with approximately 15,000 available seats.
The University of Delhi (DU) has unveiled the admission process for Bachelor's programs offered by the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) and the School of Open Learning (SOL). Admission to these programs is primarily based on the merit of marks obtained in Class XII.
NCWEB provides opportunities for girl candidates from Delhi NCT to pursue undergraduate degrees, offering B.A. and B.Com programs across 26 constituent colleges of DU, with approximately 15,000 available seats. Interested candidates can find detailed information on admission procedures on the official website: admission.uod.ac.in.
The application process for SOL programs is set to commence on June 3, 2024.
Introduction of Admission Support System
To facilitate prospective students, DU has established an Admission Support System, offering information in various formats including text bulletins, visual aids such as infographics and flowcharts illustrating eligibility criteria, and informative videos including webinars and recordings guiding applicants through the application process.
Online assistance is available through ChatBots and emails. Candidates can reach out to ug@admission.du.ac.in for undergraduate admission queries and pg@admission.du.ac.in for postgraduate admissions. A comprehensive list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) is already accessible on the university's website.
Additionally, helpdesk facilities have been set up at the Admission Branch to assist candidates, who can also seek guidance through a series of webinars covering various aspects of the admission process, including CSAS form filling, document uploads, reservation policies, and program and college selection. These webinars will be conducted in bilingual mode.
Important Advice for Applicants
DU advises prospective students to regularly check the admission website and their dashboards for updates, schedules, and guidelines related to admissions. Failure to accept allocated seats, pay admission fees, or respond to college queries may result in seat rejection.
Candidates are urged to rely only on information published on the official DU website (www.admission.uod.ac.in) and official social media platforms:
University of Delhi: www.du.ac.in
Admission website: www.admission.uod.ac.in
Facebook: fb.com/UniversityofDelhi
Twitter: twitter.com/UnivofDelhi
Furthermore, the university communicates exclusively through email addresses ending with "du.ac.in".
DU anticipates that with these provisions and policies in place well in advance, the admission process for the upcoming academic year will be more streamlined and student-friendly.
