IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims Exam Analysis 2022 Live: 7 August, Shift 4 Prelims Exam Review & Expected Cut off

The Reasoning section in IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam held on August 7 in all the shifts were easy. Students found the Maths section to be calculative and difficult. In the first shift two DIs were asked while three DIs were asked in the other shifts.

Students said that the IBPS RRB Clerk shift 4 was the toughest of all the shifts. In Reasoning, there were four questions from puzzles, one question from blood relation, five questions from coding and decoding, 5 questions from Alphanumeric series, two questions from the direction, and five questions from syllogism. In Quant, total of 12 questions was from simplification, three DI questions (bar, Tabulation and caselet), five questions were from wrong number series,, and the rest were from Arithmetic (percentage, mensuration, CI, PnC), etc. 

The Shift 3 exam of IBPS RRB was moderate. Maximum questions in Arithmetic were asked from Simplification and Data Interpretation (DI). The Arithmetic questions were asked from Boat & Streams, Partnership, Percentage, CI&SI, Pipe and Cistern, Profit and Loss, etc. Questions in Reasoning were asked from Puzzle, Seating Arrangements, Syllogism, Inequality, Alphanumeric series, etc.

IBPS RRB Clerk shift 3 exam started at 01.35 pm. The paper will be conducted till 2.20 pm.

Candidates must bring a ball-point, ink stamp pad and glue. Sheet of paper is provided at the exam centre.

There were 5 questions from Bar Graph DI (Flavour Ice cream related Regular, Small, Medium), 5 questions from Line Graph DI (Income/Expenditure), 3 questions from Caselet DI.

The overall paper of IBPS RRB Clerk shift 2 was easy. An overall attempt of 67-69 is considered as good.

The questions asked in maths were easy. 7 to 8 questions were asked from Simplification, Missing Series (5 questions), DI questions (2 questions) and one question was bar graph based and another was table based DI and others were Arithmetic questions  (Age, Mixture). 

The questions in Reasoning were asked from inequality around 5 to 6 questions. Five questions were asked from syllogism and there were two statements and two conclusions. There were questions from three letter-based series. Alphanumeric series questions were asked (10 questions). Circular arrangement puzzles, month and date-based puzzles (3-4 questions), floor-based questions were asked. Three questions were asked from Blood relation. There were no questions from direction and distance. Pair-based questions were also asked. There was one meaningful word question. There were 25 questions from miscellaneous. 

IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam 2022 for shift 1 was moderate. The Quant and Reasoning sections were moderate.

Students who are appearing in shift 2 have started coming to the exam centre. Students faced difficulty in reaching the exam centre due to rain.

Shiksha reported live from one of the IBPS RRB Clerk exam centres in Gurgaon. Students who are allotted to this exam centre said that they faced problems in locating the exam centre. Access to the exam centre was tough and there was no direct transportation facility to the exam centre. Candidates were forced to hire private vehicles.

Students who did not carry two passport-size photographs were not allowed to enter the exam hall. It is clearly mentioned in the instructions that candidates need to carry two passport-size photographs. Many students were not allowed in the paucity of photo and copy of government ID proof.

The entry for shift 1 closed at 8.45 am. However, candidates with essential documents were allowed to enter the exam hall after 8.45 am. Candidates had to carry photocopy of government ID card and two passport size photographs. Online verification was done at the gate only.

The shift 1 exam of IBPS RRB Clerk begins at 9 am. Entry for the shift 1 exam has started. Candidates have to first write the handwritting sample and time allotted for the handwriting sample is 9 am to 9.50 am. The exam for Shift 1 gets over at 9.50 am.

Candidates are advised not to wear ornaments such as rings, earrings, nose-pin, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, brooch, etc. Candidates should not wear full sleeve clothes and shoes.

Candidates are not allowed to use calculators, books, notebooks or written notes, cell phones, or any other electronic device. Any communication device such as bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band etc. is not allowed. Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, watch/wrist watch, camera, metallic item, eatable items opened or packed are not allowed.

Admit card of preliminary exam is not collected at the exam centre. However, it is duly authenticated/stamped by the exam centre officials. Candidates are required to bring the mains admit card along with the authenticated prelims admit card to the exam centre

Any stationery items such as bits of paper, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner. 

Candidates must bring valid photo identity proof such as PAN Card/Passport/ Permanent Driving License/Voter’s Card with photograph/Bank Passbook with photograph/Photo Identity proof with photograph issued by a Gazetted Officer(on official letterhead)/Photo Identity proof issued by a People’s Representative along with a photograph (on official letterhead)/Identity Card issued by a recognised College/ University/Aadhar/E-Aadhar Card with a photograph / Bar Council Identity card with photograph /Employee ID). Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof.

Candidates appearing for IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam need to carry the printed copy of the IBPS RRB Clerk admit card along with a recent passport-size photograph duly pasted on it. Candidates need to paste one photograph on the admit card and one photograph they need to bring to the exam centre.

The entry of students for shift 1 has started. The admit card and photo-identity proof of candidates have been verified by the exam centre officials. To maintain COVID-19 protocol, the temperature of candidates have been checked.
