IIIT Bangalore’s annual research symposium begins tomorrow
The three-day event will be hosted virtually and will strive to encourage research innovations and provide a platform for industry-academia collaborations.
The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bangalore will host the sixth edition of its annual flagship event, RISE, from February 17 to 19. The RISE symposium aims at inspiring contributions to society through research-led technological innovations and bring together students, academicians and corporate leaders to collaborate on the four dimensions of RISE – Research, innovation, society and entrepreneurship.
The event will begin with a research colloquium on Day 1, led by PhD and master of science scholars presenting their research-led innovations and abstracts to an internal audience. The technology fest slated for Day 2 is open to external participants and will have an opening keynote by G Raj Narayan, founder and managing director of Radel India. This will be followed by three panel discussions around ‘Tech for remote education’, ‘Navigating a career in tech’ and ‘Data localisation and its effect on businesses’.
The fest will also host debates, other competitions such as crypto-combat and CodeQuestand. The winners of the ByteSynergy Hackathon will also be honoured on the occasion. The winners will have the opportunity to collaborate with IIIT Bangalore’s Innovation Centre.
The event will conclude on Day 3 with an ‘open house’ for corporate leaders and registered participants to interact with IIIT Bangalore faculty and discuss ongoing research projects as well as the potential collaboration opportunities. The event is open for registration at https://rise.iiitb.ac.in/
