IIIT-H iHub-Data invites applications for MS and PhD programme

The last date for applying is August 31, 2022. Candidates must apply on or before the deadline. Selection of the candidates will be done through a written test and/or interview.

Hub-Data at The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad invites eligible students/working professionals to apply for MS and PhD fellowships in Mobility (comprising of data-driven smart mobility, computer vision for smart mobility, 2/3 wheeler safety, driver-assistance, road safety etc), Healthcare for everyone (AI for early cancer diagnostics, mental/neuro health, disease surveillance, drug-discovery etc), India-specific scenarios (smart buildings, smart cities, smart agriculture etc) and Complex data-systems.

The last date for applying is August 31, 2022. Candidates must apply on or before the deadline. Selection of the candidates will be done through a written test and/or interview. Prospective research fellows would be inducted for a period of six months to work in select domains and based on performance would be recommended to appropriate research centres at IIIT Hyderabad. The tenure requires all those who qualify to relocate to Hyderabad.

Three AI projects launched at IIIT Hyderabad

Telangana Industries and IT Minister KT Rama Rao launched three projects -iRASTE Telangana, Bodhyaan Car Platform and MicroLabs at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The State through its Telangana Academy of Skills and Knowledge (TASK) so far trained more than 25,000 students and 4,500 faculty members. It now has set a target to train about one lakh youth at high school level in foundation AI courses.

IIIT Hyderabad is an autonomous research university founded in 1998 that focuses on the core areas of Information Technology, such as Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, and their applications in other domains through inter-disciplinary research.

Some of its research domains include Visual Information Technologies, Human Language Technologies, Data Engineering, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Computer Architecture, Wireless Communications, Algorithms and Information Security, Robotics, Building Science, Earthquake Engineering, Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics, Education Technologies, Power Systems, IT in Agriculture and e-Governance.
