IIM Ahmedabad to conduct 57th Convocation today

With the subsiding cases of the novel coronavirus, the management institute decided to organize the convocation as an offline event. The IIM Ahmedabad convocation event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm.

IIM-A 57^th Convocation: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad is all set to conduct its 57th annual convocation event today, April 13, 2022, at the Louis Kahn Plaza, IIM Ahmedabad (Old Campus). With the subsiding cases of the novel coronavirus, the management institute decided to organize the convocation as an offline event. The IIM Ahmedabad convocation event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm. The event will be graced with the presence of Falguni Nayar, founder and CEO of Nykaa as the chief guest. She is also an alumna of IIM Ahmedabad.

The official statement released by the institute informed, "This year, our alumna and Founder & CEO of Nykaa, Ms Falguni Nayar will be gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivering the Convocation Address. She will join Mr Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairperson, Board of Governors and Professor Errol D’Souza, Director, IIMA on stage.”

The b-school will commence conferring degrees of scholastic medals by the chief guest at 8 pm. This will be followed by a convocation address by the chief guest. Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairperson of the board of governors at IIMA will give the welcome address of the event. However, Errol D’Souza, director of IIMA, will share the concluding thoughts on the event. The institute has also decided to play the national anthem by the end of the event. IIM Ahmedabad is also likely to post all the important highlights of its 57th convocation on the IIM Ahmedabad official YouTube channel.
