IIM Bodh Gaya, Bihar Health Society collaborate to improve health infrastructure

The collaboration aims at facilitating the state with a world-class healthcare infrastructure. Under this MoU, the bodies will also work towards increasing the management capacity and utilising management education in different contexts of society.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bodh Gaya recently collaborated with the State Health Society, Bihar on November 22. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with an aim to establish a long-term association between IIM Bodh Gaya and the State Health Society of Bihar. The collaboration aims at facilitating the state with a world-class healthcare infrastructure. Under this MoU, the bodies will also work towards increasing the management capacity and utilising management education in different contexts of society.

According to the official statement released by IIM Bodh Gaya, under this MoU, the healthcare professionals under the Government of Bihar will be trained in leadership, motivation and behavioral aspects of Healthcare Management.

The signing of the MoU was done between the Director of IIM Bodh Gaya Dr Vinita S Sahay and Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Executive Director, State Health Society, Bihar. The event also witnessed the presence of Bihar’s health minister, Mangal Pandey. The official press note informed that the event also marked the presence of Pratyeya Amrit, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Government of Bihar and authorities from State Health Society, Bihar and media representatives.

During the event, Health Minister Mangal Pandey expressed that this MoU will help in creating a world-class healthcare infrastructure in the state with the help of the long-term association between IIM Bodh Gaya and the State Health Society of Bihar.

Stating that both the institute as well as the State Health Society share a common goal of bringing a positive change and development in the health status of the rural population, IIM Bodh Gaya expressed their happiness towards the association. It further added that the goal will be achieved by increasing the awareness level of the people and professionals and building the capacity of the health workers.
