IIM Calcutta Placements 2021-22 witness 100% recruitment record

IIM Calcutta summer placement and final placement recorded over 550 and 640 offers, respectively.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta recorded 100 per cent summer and final placement of the 2021-2022 batch. The management institute has continued with its excellent streak of placement. The summer placement and final placement recorded over 550 and 640 offers, respectively. Talking about the overwhelming response received by the institute during the placements, director Uttam Kumar Sarkar congratulated the students for such impressive offers.

During the occasion of the 57thannual convocation of the institute, 479 students received their MBA degree in the two-year flagship MBA programme of the institute. 79 students also completed the one-year MBA programme for the executives. Graduating doctoral students also received degrees.

IIM-C nine-storied hostel to have 1000 rooms

IIM Calcutta has also started constructing a new accommodation place for its students. Students will soon get to stay at the modern nine-storied hostel with almost 1,000 rooms on the campus. The sports arena with two squash courts, two table tennis courts, two basketball courts and two badminton courts has already come up inside the campus.

Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of BSE, attended the event as the chief guest. During the convocation, the Director shared that 550 students received offers from 142 companies for summer placements in October last year. Meanwhile, 192 companies made 640 offers for the final placements. All the students who opted to participate in the process were recruited.

IIM-C 57^th batch recorded 100% placement

IIM Calcutta registered a 100% placement record for its outgoing 57th batch with an average salary of INR 34 lakh per annum with the consulting sector making 49% of the offers. First-time recruiters such as IIFL, Nykaa, Zomato, PremjiInvest, Emaar and Protiviti participated in IIM-C Placements 2022.
