IIT Delhi team wins Smart India Hackathon 2022 Software Edition Final

Immersive Brains, an IIT Delhi team has won the Smart India Hackathon 2022 Software Edition Final in the NC737 category sponsored by Coal India Ltd.

Immersive Brains, a team of PhD, M.Des and B.Tech students from the Department of Design, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institutes of Technology Delhi has won the Smart India Hackathon 2022 Software Edition Final in the NC737 category sponsored by Coal India Ltd.

Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving. The first four editions SIH2017, SIH2018, SIH2019 and SIH2020 proved to be extremely successful in promoting innovation and out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially among engineering students from across India, said the government statement.

President Murmu recently inaugurated R&I Park at IIT Delhi, Glimpses shared on Twitter

The institute has shared glimpses of the state-of-the-art Research and Innovation Park (R&I Park) on its campus in Delhi on Twitter today. The President of India Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the R&I Park at the closing ceremony of the Institute's Diamond Jubilee celebrations on September 3, 2022.

The R&I Park aims to accelerate research translation, provide avenues for the IIT Delhi students and faculty to interact more closely with industry and bring to market technological breakthroughs through incubation, amplify the technological and societal impact of Research & Development at IIT Delhi and galvanize entrepreneurial aspirations, said IIT Delhi statement.
