IIT Hyderabad World of PAVs Exhibition 

IIT-H World of PAVs: The design department of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad is all set to organise an exhibition of Personal Aerial Vehicles named “World of PAVs” on June 24, 2022. The exhibition will be inaugurated by the director of IIT Hyderabad, Professor B S Murty.

Research aims to understand users’ form perception of PAVs

The institute will conduct the exhibition at 12 pm in the glass foyer, the ground floor of IIT Hyderabad. The exhibition is the outcome of practice-based research by PhD scholar Priyabrata Rautray.

The research project aims to understand the users’ form perception of PAVs, their needs, wants, and concerns, and how to convert them into design parameters for future development.

Professor B S Murty, Director, IITH, while congratulating Priyabrata on completing the research project and making the exhibition happen said, “I am delighted to see the outcome of this unique practice-based research being offered by the Design department. Such research projects will enrich the research culture at IITH.”

Proudly presenting the exhibition “World of PAVs”, Priyabrata Rautray, PhD Scholar, Department of Design, said, “I am happy to complete my research project, It was a long journey of discoveries and hard work. I am happy to be part of IITH; I got a lot of help and support and worked on many projects.”

IIT Hyderabad launches online MTech to explore & save heritage

IIT Hyderabad on June 22, 2022, introduced a new department of Heritage Science and Technology (HST) to offer an online MTech in HST. The department was inaugurated on International Yoga Day by Vijay Bhatkar, best known as the father of India’s PARAM series of supercomputers. The new online MTech in HST would begin from August and offer three specialisations — science & technology of Yoga, Indian language processing, and conservation and reconstruction of heritage architecture.
