IIT JAM 2022 was conducted on February 13 over two slots in 103 cities across India. IIT Roorkee is the conducting body for the entrance exam conducted for admission to MSc and Integrated PhD programmes offered at IITs, NITs, CFTIs and IISc Bangalore respectively. The exam is conducted in a computer-based mode (CBT) for a duration of three hours. The slot-wise IIT JAM subjects are presented in the table below.

IIT JAM 2022 Exam Pattern
The IIT JAM 2022 paper will carry 100 questions in the form of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). The structure of the exam is as follows:

IIT JAM 2022 Marking Scheme

The negative marking scheme is as follows:
Section A: For each wrong answer to one mark question, 1/3 mark will be deducted. On the other hand, for each wrong answer to two marks questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted. There is no negative marking for any questions left unanswered.
Section B: There is no negative marking in this section. Also, there is no partial marking provision in this section.
Section C: There is no negative marking in this section, as well.
The result of IIT JAM 2022 will be declared on March 22. After that, the admission shortlist will be declared followed by which counselling process will take place for 2,906 seats.
