IIT JAM 2023 notification has been released by IIT Guwahati, the exam conducting body for this year. The application form for IIT JAM 2023 will be released on September 7 and the last date to submit the application form is October 11. The exam will be conducted in two slots on Sunday, February 12 in over 100 cities across India. The IIT JAM 2023 result will be declared on March 22. IIT JAM 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The IIT JAM 2023 eligibility criteria are as follows:

 

  • Both  Indian and foreign candidates can apply for IIT JAM.

  • Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from any recognised university.

  • Candidates appearing for the final exams of bachelor’s in 2023 can also apply for the examination. They have to submit the undergraduate degree by September 29, 2023.

IIT JAM 2023 will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode for seven subjects or papers, namely, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Biotechnology and Economics. While the forenoon session would conduct the test for Chemistry, Geology and Mathematics, the afternoon session would conduct tests for Biotechnology, Economics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics.

IIT JAM is conducted to provide admission to candidates in MSc and other postgraduate courses offered at IITs and integrated PhD courses offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) also accept JAM scores for MSc admissions. Approximately 3,000 seats are offered through IIT JAM.
