IIT Gandhinagar: BTech student bags Cargill Global Scholarship 2021-22

Progyan Das, a BTech student of IIT Gandhinagar has received the ‘Cargill Global Scholarship’ in the 2021-22 cycle. 

The Cargill Global Scholars Program (CGSP) is a distinctive, two-year scholarship program that provides financial support to undergraduate students in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, and the United States. Only ten students from all over India make it to the CGSP annually.

Progyan Das, a BTech student of IIT Gandhinagar has received the ‘Cargill Global Scholarship’ in the 2021-22 cycle. 

IIT Gandhinagar's tweet reads, "It gives us great joy to share that Progyan Das, a BTech student in @cse_iitgn, has bagged the prestigious ‘Cargill Global Scholarship’ in the 2021-22 cycle. Only ten students from all over India make it to the @Cargill Global Scholars Programme annually."

 

As part of the scholarship, Progyan will receive a significant financial award and will get to attend leadership seminars organised by Cargill in India and abroad.

IIT Gandhinagar inks MoU with Firetech Equipment & Systems Pvt. Ltd

The official statement of IIT Gandhinagar says, "We are delighted to welcome Firetech Equipment & Systems Pvt. Ltd., a Mumbai-based company manufacturing state-of-the-art fire fighting systems for industrial applications, to the IIT Gandhinagar Research Park to undertake research and development projects. As part of the MoU signed with IITGN this morning, Firetech will set up its operations at the institute's Research Park and collaborate with the students and faculty members to boost their product development and innovation strategies. Both Firetech and the Centre for Safety Engineering, IITGN have already started working together on issues in Electric Vehicles (EVs) and have also conducted relevant tests on EV batteries."
