Jammu and Kashmir School Reopening: With the declining number of novel coronavirus cases, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has also released orders to resume offline classes in schools from February 14, 2022. The administration ordered phased reopening of educational institutions across the union territory. Students of Classes 9 to 12, dressed in uniforms and carrying vaccination certificates, were seen on their way to attend offline classes.
The official order released by the state executive committee said all universities, colleges, polytechnic institutes and ITIs, and classes from 9 to 12 can commence their routine offline teaching by following Covid Appropriate Behaviour and standard operating procedures from February 14.
Following the orders, it is expected that most of the educational institutions, including universities and colleges, would resume activities in a day or two after making necessary arrangements. The officials said the attendance in both private and government high and higher secondary schools on Monday was low, but it was expected to pick up in the coming days.

Meanwhile, offline classes will commence at all schools in the winter zone after February 28. The schools situated in the winter zone of Kashmir and snow-bound parts of the Jammu region are currently on winter vacation.
States across the country have started reopening schools and colleges considering the decrease in COVID-19 numbers. States such as Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, etc. have also reopened schools for primary classes including nursery.
