JEE Main 2022: CBSE class 12 term 2 exams falls between two JEE sessions; students fear

Students are raising concern over a less time gap between class 12 board exams and JEE Mains. Many students are even demanding that the first attempt of JEE Mains be held in May.

Students are demanding an increased time gap between two sessions of JEE Mains and class 12 board exams.

The National Testing Agency announced JEE Main 2022 exam dates on Tuesday, March 1. The exam will be held in two sessions this year in April and May. The first session will be held on April 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 while the second session will be conducted on May 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29. The registration process for the first session exam has also started.

The exam dates are however not well received by the students as the CBSE class 12 term 2 board exams are beginning on April 26, just 5 days after the last exam of JEE Mains first session. Moreover, the second session of JEE Mains will be held from May 24 to 29 and the class 12 board exams will end by the third week of May which means students will not get any time to prepare for the second session of JEE Mains 2022.

Many students are taking to Twitter and other social media platforms to raise a concern about the CBSE term 2 exams falling between the two sessions of JEE Main 2022 exam. Apart from CBSE, many other states will also be conducting their class 12 board exams in March-April as students are not getting enough time to prepare for the exams. ICSE class 12 term 2 dates are yet to be announced.

Students demand postponement of JEE Mains 2022

With CBSE class 12 term 2 exams falling between the two sessions of JEE Main 2022, students are strongly condemning the date sheet of JEE. In previous years, 2021 or 2020, there had been a more than the 2-month gap between the notification and exam dates. Also, board exams and JEE Mains were held with sufficient time gaps.

I request the PU board to kindly postpone our final exam as there is a clash with JEE Mains exams and even postpone the pre boards also as we need time to prepare for our JEE Exam.

Dear @aajtak team, here are the students' demands:
Hold jee mains in 4 attempts with 25-30 gap between each and if they are holding it in 2 attempts then those attempts should be after board exams and there must be a minimal gap of 50-60 days between both.
