JEE Main 2022 likely to get delayed by a month; check report and tentative schedule
The Education Ministry is slated to meet this week with NTA, AICTE, IIT Joint Admission Board for deciding the exam dates of JEE Main and Advanced 2022.
The notification for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) or JEE Main 2022 is not released yet. While the students are eagerly waiting for the announcement of exam dates and the start of the registration process, there are news reports that JEE Main 2022 can get delayed by at least a month or more.
The first session of JEE Main 2022 is more likely to be postponed to March. The reason for the delay in the first session is the current COVID-19 situation and upcoming assembly elections in five major states of the country. However, conducting JEE Main 2022 first session in March is also not an easy task for NTA as many states will be conducting their class 10 and 12 board exams beginning mid-March to April.
JEE Main 2022 Expected Exam Date
As per news reports, there are possibilities that the first session can get postponed to April. The second, third and fourth sessions will accordingly be held in May, June and July respectively. However, neither Education Ministry nor NTA has made any comment on the schedule or JEE Mains 2022 regarding the exam and registration process.
The Education Ministry is slated to meet NTA, AICTE, IIT Joint Admission Board and other officials for deciding the exam dates. The schedule is likely to be announced anytime soon this week after the meeting.
When will JEE Main 2022 Registration Start?

Will there be four attempts in JEE Main 2022?
As per an Education Ministry official, NTA had decided to conduct JEE Main 2022 in four sessions and the schedule was to be announced in December 2021. But, the announcement got postponed due to the COVID situation and assembly elections.
