Students who have been waiting for JEE Mains 2022 dates will be happy to know that NTA will announce the exam dates and start the application process in January last week. The notification and information brochure of JEE Main 2022 with complete details about the exam and registration will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
As per a news report, NTA has finalized its preparation for organizing JEE Mains 2022 in four attempts. The first session of JEE Main 2022 is however most likely to be held in March last week or April. The full schedule and details will be released by next week. The application process will start soon after the official announcement by NTA.
JEE Main application form will be available only in online mode on the official website. NTA will release separate application forms for all four sessions. Candidates will have the option to apply for one or more sessions together.
Since most students will also be appearing for their class 12 board exams in March-April, NTA will make sure that the dates for board exams and JEE Main don’t clash. NTA is in consultation with CBSE, ICSE and other states for the schedule of second term board exams. The JEE Main 2022 exam dates will be finalized only after ensuring that dates do not clash for the two exams.
As NTA will conduct the exam in multiple attempts, students will have the option of appearing in one or more sessions as per their choice. The best score of all the attempts a candidate appears in will be considered for deciding the rank.
Will there be any change in eligibility, syllabus or pattern?
The syllabus and pattern of JEE Main 2022 are most likely to remain the same as the previous year. However, the final decision would be taken by NTA and the same will be notified through the information brochure on the website. The eligibility criteria of minimum 75% marks in class 12 for admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs is likely to be waived off for this session.
