JEE Main 2022: Rising COVID 19 Coronavirus cases likely to delay registration process, exams
NTA has not made any announcement on JEE Main 2022 exam dates. The rising Corona Virus cases are likely to impact JEE Main 2022 registration date which generally starts in December but no information about the application form has come up yet.
The JEE Main 2022 aspirants are once again likely to get affected by the rising COVID 19 Corona Virus cases. The newly evolved COVID variant Omicron is spreading at a faster pace and if the condition remains the same, NTA may consider delaying the conduct of JEE Main 2022 exam.
As per a report from a senior Education Ministry official, the first attempt of JEE Main 2022 is likely to be held in March instead of February. The anxiety on JEE Main 2022 exam dates has increased after news of organizing the first attempt in March instead of February has surfaced.
Also, there is no update on the timeline of JEE Main 2022 registration. NTA generally releases the JEE Main notification by early December and starts the registration process by December 15. Till now, there is no information about JEE Main 2022 application form date either from NTA or from Education Ministry.
Conducting the JEE Main 2022 exam in March could also be a challenge as the second attempt of class 10 and 12 board exams is also slated to be held in March-April. The dates of JEE Main 2022 will be finalized only after the schedule of board exams gets released.
There are reports that NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2022 in four sessions like the previous year. JEE Main 2022 expected dates could be March, April, May, and June respectively for four sessions. The official announcement on JEE Main 2022 exam date and release of the application form will be made on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in
JEE Main Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022
The syllabus of JEE Main 2022 is likely to remain the same as the previous year. Candidates preparing for JEE Main 2022 can use the previous year's syllabus for the preparation of the exam. JEE Main syllabus 2022 will be released on the official website along with the application form.
The pattern of JEE Main was changed last year. NTA increased the total number of questions from 75 to 90 and introduced the option of internal choice within questions. The same pattern is likely to be followed this year.
