The first attempt of JEE Main 2022 is likely to get delayed till March due to assembly elections in five states. The registration process for JEE Main 2022 is likely to begin in January.

The first attempt of JEE Main 2022 might be pulled off till March due to the assembly elections in five states slated to be held in February-March. The other three attempts might as well be shifted to April, May, and June subsequently.

As per senior Education Ministry officials, β€œthe government has decided to conduct JEE Main 2022 in four attempts. However, considering the pending elections, the schedule may be tweaked this year. The first attempt is likely to begin in March, followed by three attempts in April, May, and June”.

The registrations for JEE Main 2022 are likely to begin from January however, no timeline for the start of the application process has been announced. The application form will be available online on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

There is no official announcement in this regard from the NTA side. The registration for JEE Main 2022 was expected to begin from December like in previous years. The application process will be opened separately for all four sessions.

The dates for JEE Main 2022 are also likely to be impacted by the second session of class 12 board exams. As per an earlier report from the NTA officials, the second attempt of class 12 board exams is likely to be held in March-April. The JEE Mains 2022 date will be decided upon the finalization of the board exams schedule.
