JIPMER Puducherry has invited applications for filling the senior resident post on an ad-hoc basis in the departments CTVS, Medical Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Paediatric Surgery.

The Director of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry has invited applications for filling the posts of senior residents on an ad-hoc basis for a period of 89 days (may be extended depending upon requirement) in the departments CTVS, Medical Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Paediatric Surgery.

There are two posts each in Paediatric Surgery and CTVS and other departments have only one vacancy. The interview would be conducted on June 29 through videoconferencing. The age limit should not be exceeding 45 years as of June 27 with usual relaxation as per rules.

Other Details

The candidates with postgraduate medical degree recognized by the National Medical Commission / Medical Council of India will be paid basic pay INR 67,700 (Level -11, Cell-1) (Revised) and other usual allowances per month (total of approximately INR 1,10,000), as stated by the official notification.

The application fee is INR 500 for General (UR), OBC & EWS candidates and INR 250 for SC/ST candidates.

The bank may charge an additional service charge for making an online payment. The application fee once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Essential qualifications needed for various departments

For CTVS, Neurosurgery & Paediatric Surgery the requirement is NMC/MCI recognized postgraduate medical degree viz. MS/DNB in General Surgery or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates with M.Ch./DNB in the concerned speciality can also apply.

For Medical Oncology, NMC/MCI recognized postgraduate medical degree viz. MD/DNB in General Medicine / Radiation Oncology (Radiotherapy) / Paediatrics or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates with DM/DNB in the concerned speciality can also apply.

For Neurology, the eligibility is NMC/MCI recognized postgraduate medical degree viz. MD/DNB in General Medicine / Paediatrics or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates with DM/DNB in the concerned speciality can also apply.
