KVS Admission 2022: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has put admissions under special provisions in Kendriya Vidyalayas under District Magistrate / Member of Parliament (MP) quota on hold. An official letter sent by KVS to schools reads, “As per the directions of KVS headquarters, New Delhi, you are informed that no admissions should be done under special provisions till further orders.”
KVS admission under MP/DM quota
According to the special provision made by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, 10 children can be recommenced by MPs for admission between Classes 1 to 9. Apart from the MP/DM quota, there are 15- 16 other special provisions through which admissions can be made.
Meanwhile, Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 admission 2022 application process was earlier closed on April 13. Previously, the registration deadline for KV Class 1 admission was April 11 but later the KVS extended the deadline until April 13. The extension of the last date took place after receiving orders from the Delhi High Court ordered to extend the deadline for fresh admissions in Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the academic session 2022-2023.

Parents and guardians may follow the steps given below to apply for KV admissions 2022:
- Open the official website, i.e. kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in
- On the homepage, navigate and click on “Click here to proceed for KVS Online Admission portal - Class I"
- Click on, “Click here to register"
- Read the instructions
- Proceed with registration
- To access the admission application portal, log in on the page
- Fill in the required details and upload the verified documents
- Review the form and submit
KVS Admission 2022: Documents Required
The following documents would be necessary while registering for KVS Admission 2022:
- Age proof
- Proof of relationship for grandchildren of Members of Parliament and PSU employees, KVS employees
- Category certificate (SC, ST, etc), if applicable
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- A certificate of retirement for uniformed Defence employees
- Residence proof
