Following the announcement of the revised AIBE 18 2023 Exam Schedule, several aspirants across the country are demanding the AIBE 18 Exam to be rescheduled citing its clash with CLAT PG 2024.
Scores of lawyers are demanding that the AIBE 18 Exam 2023 scheduled to be held on December 3 be postponed as the crucial exam is clashing with the CLAT LLM 2024. The All India Bar Examination 2023 was earlier scheduled to be held on November 26, 2023. The Bar Council of India in the latest AIBE Notification 2023, announced the revised AIBE 18 Dates 2023, as per which the AIBE XVIII (18) Exam is now scheduled to be held on the same day as the Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT). CLAT LLM 2024 Exam is slated to be held on December 3, 2023, for admission to various allotted National Law Universities (NLUs) in the country. The CLAT PG 2024 Application form was released on July 1, 2023. Candidates will be able to fill out the CLAT LLM Application Form 2024 until November 3.
"The AIBE Exam holds a major importance in any law student's life as without it they can not practice in Indian courts. It is the first step to becoming a professional lawyer. It is a dream of lakhs of lawyers and the emotions of their parents and teachers that are attached to this exam. But due to the declaration of premature dates, aspirants are now anxious," said Anita, an AIBE aspirant.
Megha, an AIBE aspirant said, “Not allowing us a fair chance in CLAT PG will be a huge injustice. So please bring about fairness when it comes to exams as important as AIBE”.
Earlier, the All India Bar Examination was scheduled to be conducted on November 26, 2023. The AIBE 18 Registration 2023 date has also been revised. Candidates can now fill out their AIBE 18 Application Form 2023 until November 10. Earlier, the last date to register for AIBE 18 Exam 2023 was November 4, 2023. AIBE 18 (XVIII) Exam 2023 will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode in AIBE 18 (XVIII) 2024 test centres in 50 cities across the country. Candidates will be allowed to choose from three exam centers as per their choice. The AIBE 18 (question paper 2023 will be including 100 multiple-choice questions. The exam will be held for law graduates to get the Certificate of Practice (CoP) to practice law.
