How to calculate AIBE 18 scores using answer key?
Candidates often wonder how to calculate scores using AIBE 18 (XVIII) answer key 2023-24. They can refer to the instructions given below to calculate their scores for the bar examination;
Calculate the number of correct attempts - The official keys will be given in the answer key. So, pick the answer key and question paper for your paper code and then calculate the number of correct attempts. To calculate scores, you need to follow the marking scheme outlined in the AIBE 18 exam pattern 2024.
Calculate the total score: There is no negative marking in AIBE XVIII. So, you need to only calculate the correct attempts; allocate +1 marks for each correct answer. Then add the individual scores to arrive at the total score.
Check the qualifying marks: To qualify for the AIBE 18 2024 exam you need to score 40% marks (if you belong to the general category) and 35% marks (if you belong to SC/ST category). But note that post the re-evaluation of the provisional answer key, some questions may be dropped. How to prepare for AIBE 18 at last minute?
Picking the right set of books is only the first step towards effective AIBE preparation. To crack the exam, candidates need to have a well-formulated preparation strategy and a well-thought-out study plan.
- Make a study plan and stick to it - Once you have a plan, follow it without fail.
- Consult the updated syllabus and pattern - Exam officials from time to time update the exam syllabus, so you need to follow only the current syllabus; ditto for the exam pattern.
- Take notes during the study - This habit will make you more attentive apart from helping you jot down all the key and difficult points that you can quickly revise.
- Mind the weightage carried by various topics - If you look at the AIBE syllabus, you will see that the weightage is not the same for all the topics. In fact, some topics carry as much as 10 per cent weightage, while there are others that only carry 2 per cent weightage. This means you can't spend disproportionate time preparing for a topic that carries just 2 per cent weightage.
- Complete the easy portion first - You may find some topics difficult and time-consuming. If such topics are not essential to understanding the subsequent topic, you may skip the chapter for now and come back to it once you are done with the easier topics.
- Develop your reasoning and analytical abilities - These abilities will not only help you crack the AIBE 18 exam but serve you well in your career as a lawyer.
- What else: Apart from studying the recommended books, keep a track of all the recent law cases and judgments
