The Bar Council of India (BCI) has issued the Certificate of Practice (COP) to the qualified candidates for 12th and 13th exam of AIBE. The candidates need to contact the state bar council they are enrolled with to obtain the COP. No information regarding the COP for AIBE 14 qualification is available as yet. The official notification released by AIBE Department is as under:
“This is to inform all the candidates who have cleared AIBE-XII and AIBE-XIII, kindly contact your respective State Bar Council for your CERTIFICATE OF PRACTICE (COP) as they have been dispatched by the A.I.B.E Department already.”
AIBE Department will soon notify candidates who have qualified AIBE XIV regarding COP.
AIBE 15th application process is currently underway until August 31. Those candidates who could not qualify any of the previous sessions of AIBE can apply and appear for the 15th session now. BCI mandates qualifying AIBE to all those who graduated with a law degree from 2010 onwards. Only AIBE qualified candidates are issued COP to practice law as a profession.
All those who are not able to qualify AIBE are considered on provisional enrollment if practising law. They are, however, prohibited to practice law and participate in other events at courts.
