CLAT 2020 counselling registration and fee payment process begins, Check here

Candidates need to register by log in and fee payment for the CLAT 2020 counselling process until 6 pm on October 7. Read here to know more. 

CLAT Consortium has begun the online registration and fee payment process for CLAT 2020 counselling from 9 am onwards today i.e. on October 6. Candidates who have been invited for CLAT 2020 counselling via emails and SMS can make fee payment to register. The last date of CLAT 2020 counselling fee payment and registration is October 7 before 6 pm. The consortium has already shared the counselling schedule for CLAT 2020 including for choice locking and seat allotment along with the announcement of results.

The entire seat allotment and counselling process of CLAT 2020 is being held in online mode as under: 

Step 1: Update NLU preferences (as selected at the time of application process) 

Step 2: Make fee payment (Rs 50,000)

Step 3: Publication of merit list 

Step 4: Candidates can Accept/Upgrade/Exit in this step 

Step 5: Upload documents if accepted or applied for an upgrade

Step 6: Make fee payment for allotted NLU

"Considering the COVID-19 situation, the Consortium has decided to collect in the first instalment, only the First Semester fee / 50% of the annual fee for the year 2020-2021. No further reduction in fee shall be considered during the counselling process. All candidates are hereby informed that they need to pay the First Semester fee / 50% of the annual fee after deducting Rs. 50,000/- paid to the CLAT Consortium to the respective NLU directly. For details with regard to the fee to be paid and the admission formalities, kindly visit the website of the respective NLU where you have been allotted the seat."

If you choose to exit from the seat allotment process then the counselling fee will be refunded after deduction of Rs 10,000 as the processing charges. The refund amount will be the same if a candidate is found ineligible for the allotted seat i.e. Rs 40,000 will be refunded. However, if the candidate does not get a seat even after this allotment list is published, then they will get full refund i.e. Rs 50,000.
